Finishing Digital Dentures

There is a major difference between 3D Printing and Milling.

With 3D Printing, tool access and undercuts are not an issue. However, the longevity of the product is not there yet for a final restoration in our view.

Milling requires tools to access undercuts and interproximals. We suggest adding small diastemas to your digital design to create more separation between teeth or using a disc and finishing after milling.

Some users also like to add characterization to the teeth / gums by using composite or stains. In the example below, you can see the difference between monolithic and composite build up.

Composite build up usually takes 10-15 minutes. Perfit will be co-hosting courses to help denturists build on their composite / staining skills.
